House contents only

I will be taking full time occupancy of a family property given to me by a family menber. I have sold my own property / separation.
There is NO rent being paid.
So the house will be insured by the family member for rebuilding only with no insurance contents .

So I wonder , I know the circumstances are unusual , is it possible to get “ contents only insurance “ ? Just to cover the few possessions I have ?

I can't see the fact you're not paying rent making any difference, but a quick call to any of the providers will clarify.

Yes that’s the issue .. it’s not rental. There is a higher premium for “ rentals “ hence my post thks for reply.

Contents only is very common - most apartment owners would avail of it and not just renters so most of the major companies offer it.
