I'm looking at a house that I really like and am considering putting a bid on but there is one issue that concerns me. The house that we are looking was originaly an end of road house with a large side garden. The current owners have built a house on the side plot and are selling the orginal house.
My concern is that the whole of the new house was built on what is now the party wall so all the guttering and drains on one side of the new house are leading into drains that are in the side access passageway of the house that I'm thinking of bidding on.
Could this be a big problem? if they didn't maintain the gutters etc we could have the water flooding our land? any thoughts?
