Anyone any ideas how much a bog standard alarm in a looped system already wired with 5 zones and 26 units would be?

Presuming you mean 26 opening in total
Complete System would comprise of
1 Control Panel
1 Keypad
1 Internal Bell
1 External SABB incl strobe
1 Back up battery
Inertia sensors & contacts on all windows & doors
1 Passive Infraed detector hall or landing

Price would be between €1100-€1200
 
I never thought of it that way..
26 units would certinly alter the price
 
I had my house alarmed in 2005. It was already wired for an alarm, which made things easier.
It cost €1000 odd.
 
HI,

Same question really except my house wasnt wired for an alarm- 2500SQft house? Also I dont have a phone landline,only use my mobile will this cause issues?

A bit harder to judge ..But going for wireless it would be between €1600-€2100 for say between 6 - 12 wireless zones
The phoneline would only be an issue if you wanted monitoring.

Hi Colm,

Thanks for reply..when you say zones,u mean an area like a room which has a sensor monitoring it? Once the alarm is activated , any movement in these zones triggers the alarm?

In general for activation/deactivation of alarm,you have some code you enter in a control panel in the house somewhere is it? Or could it be simpler like an on/off switch on a key fob?

A zone can be a PiR (motin detector), a contact, an inertia (shock) sensor, combined sersor/contact or a Panic Button

A code a key fob or both
