Have a Hotpoint Aquarius WDD40G - just under a year old and this weekend it's started acting up. No matter what washing programme you set it on it won't stop. Started this morning on a 30 min quick wash that was still going 3 hours on. Emptied the machine, set it on rinse and spin and it stopped. Tried two other programmes and same problem. Manual says uneven load and select another programme but no luck so far.
Need to do a lot of post-holiday washing so could do without this. Don't get me started on the pain in the a*** washer dryers are...I wouldn't have bought one at all but it was a replacement for the one previously in the apartment and we don't have space for separate machines and do need a dryer.
Anything we can do other than call the service guy out? I know it's probably under guarantee but it does mean at least half a day off work so if we could sort it ourselves it would be great.
