That basically sums up most of SF to be honest.but many reviews of apparently good hotels, mention thin walls, nit clean, noisy streets or dirty sidewalks, dodgy characters etc.
I had friends who really stretched themselves financially to buy a place there. They ended up with a nightmare tenant who terrorised them. Thankfully they were able to turn the tables on him but it didn’t end well.Pacific Heights
Actually booked it but read lot of unfavourable reviews. Were you happy enough with it?We stayed in Hotel Riu Plaza Fisherman's Wharf in March and it was ideal for what you're describing.
Safe, clean, comfortable, good service. No problems with noise. Rooms a bit dated maybe. Location is perfect for tourist stuff, around the corner from the trolleys and the piers. Has a Trader Joes and another big grocery store nearby, and there's a Hillstone restaurant a few minutes walk away.Actually booked it but read lot of unfavourable reviews.
