Airtricity: Gas and Electricity
"New customers" are defined as those those that recently signed up to Airtricity and rates apply for 12 months for electricity and until September 30th 2011 for gas. You then become and existing customer. Airtricty do not currently publish the rates for Gas when your new customer status expires.
"Existing customers" are defined as those who are no longer in the new customer definition.

Note 2: Extra standing charges: 104.40 EUR is charged per year for "Urban 24 hr" customers, 139.20 EUR is charged per year for "Rural 24 hr" customers, 143.34 EUR is charged per year for "urban Nightsaver" customers and 181.45 EUR is charged per year for "Rural Nightsaver" customers.
Note 3: There is a "greaner mix of electricity" with Airtricity but "Airtricity has a 21% mix of coal, gas, oil and peat in the electricity it supplies".
Flogas
Standard: 4.061 cent per KW/H and 68.10 EUR per year.
Equaliser Tariff: 3,550 units for 6.836 cent per unit, thereafter 3.1337 cent per KW/H and 275.94 EUR per year.
Note 1: According to the Flogas website, standard is suitable for those that use under 30,000 kwh. Equaliser is suitable for those that use over 30,000 kwh per year and under 73,000KWH per year.
Bord Gais
Standard: 4.4628 cent per KW/H and 68.10 EUR per year.
No Standing Charge Tariff: 3,550 units for 6.836 cent per unit and thereafter 4.4628 cent per KW/H
Note 1: According to the Bord Gais website, standard is suitable for those that use under 30,000 kwh.
Note 2: Bord Gais offer a dual electricity and gas supply tariff, a consumer saves more by having a separate gas supply with Flogas.
