I'm looking at applying for the SEI grants under the HES scheme. Does anyone know how much the following items are likely to cost for my 1000sqft 3 bed semi-d. The SEI are saying that the grants are about 30% of the overall costs but I'm not sure about this.

1. Attic insulation - already has 100mm in place
2. Heating controls
3. Cavity Wall insulation

Thanks

It seams way more than 30% of costs

Attic insulation is about 350-450 euro, you get 250 (its about 10euro / m2)
Heating controls are 80 euro for the controller plus installation costs. TRV are 40 euro per radiator.
No idea for cavity wall insulation

Hi colm5
If you can get an attic done for 350-450 euro there must be something wrong, under building regulations and best practice they have to build a walkway to any serviceable area like a water tank or a HRVS, this should include hand rails, also they must install eaves ventilator trays so as not to ventilate through the insulation, I would think anything below 1,000 euros means it's not being brought up to standard, look into the requirements for contractors on the SEI web site under the scheme.

Did you apply afterwards Greenhill? I would be interested to hear how your costs worked out
