Hello,
My job ended in January 2014 and I have been a PAYE worked for over 14 years.

My PAYE Tax Credit = 1,650.00

I transferred my personal tax credits to my husband.
husband's Personal Tax Credit = 3,300.00
husband's PAYE Tax Credit = 1650.00
In addition my husband has been allocated the Home Carers Tax Credit = 810
All income over € 41,800.00 is taxable at 41%.

Can anyone clarify if we are no longer entitled to the Home Carers Tax Credit when I am now in receipt of JSB?
How is the JSB taxed?

I am confused!
Any advice appreciated.

Thanks

If your income from JSB is over €5080 in the current tax year you are not entitled to a homecarer's credit. You will have a PAYE credit

Thanks for replies, do I need to inform Revenue now that I am getting JSB and get the Home Carer's Tax Credit removed or do I wait until end of 2014 when doing my return?

If you leave it till the end of the year you could end up with an underpayment so it would be better to give them a call now and they will sort it.
