hollow block insulation

I am interested in insulating the hollow block walls in my house. Is it possible to hire the equipment and purchase the insulation material to do this job?

I have seen a job done by so called professionals and the holes range from 6" to 16" apart. As the cavities in the blocks are at 9" centers there must be areas of the walls that have no insulation.

There are on such internal cavity block insulation. The consensus seems to be that it's not really a runner in spite of what some companies may claim. Probably better to dry line etc.

as clubman states, theres no way this can be done properly short of pumping every single cavity in the blocks. Also, this wont counteract the substantial cold bridge that is the blocks and joints themselves.

Best to either insulate externally or internally.

Jobber I agree with the previous posters. I have those poxy cavity blocks in my house and after doing a lot of research I decided to dry line all external walls. Done it last November and the house definitely holds the heat for longer.
