I have a further question for anyone who can answer about buying voluntary contributions : from what point are you eligible for the extra pension after buying said VC?
Is it when the payment is received by HMRC and backdated to that point if there's any delay in marrying it to your contributions record..
OR
only eligible once your payment is married up to your contributions record, which if I understand correctly can take months?
