Help in finding a building surveyor

Hi,

Can anyone recommend a building surveyor they were happy with? I've been on the SCS website and there's a list of them in Dublin to choose from. Anyone any preference? I'm interested in a house but it needs a lot of work and I want to make sure it's structurally sound and not going to cost me an arm and a leg before putting in an offer. Any advice greatly appreciated.

Had similar and checked site for surveyors www.scs.ie - found a small practise in our area and worked out great. No complaints- main thing is that they are registered and not someone calling themselves a surveyor, without the required registration etc. Fees were also very competitive and I expect this would remain the case especially nowadays.
