Heating problems

I recently had a new bathroom fitted which involved the installation of a pump next to the hot water tank for the shower and bath.
Since this time in order to get the gas central heating to work you now have to switch on both the heating and the hot water where previously you only had to switch on the heating.
The plumber says it has nothing to do with the work that he did but it does seem a coincidence that this problem occurred at the same time.
The control panel is an ACL Lifestyle LP112 and the boiler is a Glow Worm Hideaway 608.
Any help would be appreciated.

Sounds like maybe the microswitch in one of your zone valves may have gone faulty (or been disconnected when your plumber was wiring your new pump!) so, although the valve opens when demand is created, it is not signalling back to the boiler to fire for ch.

Get a good serviceman in to have a look for you.

Where are you located?
