Is she serious ? Does she not realise that everybody has to shoulder the burden here !! She is really clutching at straws over €4 a week, public servants are loosing alot more.
The price Jacki Healy-Rae demanded for his support for the government was a hospital in Kenmare, he claims. My guess is his price was a drop in the price of drink. He is first and foremost a publician whose main interest is his bank balance. The great mystery is why anyone in their right mind would vote for him, they can't all be his customers so what on earth is their reason for voting for him?
Where did you get €4 from?
Not a statesman !What gets me is that people actually vote for J Healy-Rae, Lowry, etc.
Very tribal, inward-looking people.
He is very unlike a statesman.
Maybe people who believe in fairness and equity instead of cute hoorism as the basis for running our nation?Who the hell in their right minds would vote for Roisin Shorthall? The idea that just because Jackie votes in a necessary budget he has no right to be on a committee just makes zero sense to me.
johnd, wouldn't a local hospital be exactly what those elderly bachelor farmers, cycling into town for their pensions and a few pints once a week, would want ?
They are entitled to be represented as well.
Anyway, I thought that that hospital was promised ages ago, but nothing was happening, so he used the budget to speed it up?
