If a company director, paying class s, has a salary from the company of €26,000 - then no health levy is payable.
However, if the director also has personal deposit interest & dividend income, then this would push the annual income above the €26k.
Does the health levy become payable on the entire income then?
Thanks in advance for any input on this.
I presume it's a question relating to 2010 income.
In Form 11s I've completed, the ROS programme assumes Prsi was correct, and doesn't recalculate health levy on the salary, just on extra income such as deposit interest and rental income.
Thanks for the reply Gervan.
Yes it does relate to 2010 income.
I drew a salary to maximise my net pay - looking at prsi & extra tax band available to working couple. However, if a few euros of bank interest meant that I was sudenly liable to the health levy on all my salary, then that would be very expensive interest earned !!!
Hi All,
I am just wondering what is the minimum monthly salary for a proprietary director using
min hour rate € 7.65 ?
€ 7.65*8hr*5 days a week*4 weeks = gross figure € 1224, is that correct ?
What are paye, prsi and health levy there should be deducted ?
Thanks in advance
