Do all kids' policies provide the exact same cover, given that there are no private hospitals for children?
Is the saving worth paying for a less attractive policy with VHI?

Sorry B, response is not directly related to the topic, but I was advised that the waiting period for any pre -existing illnesses with LAYA was 10 years for a break in cover but any new problems would be immediately covered!

Any takers on this?

I was speaking to someone yesterday who is paying €800 for her son and said she would not rely on the public hospital system because the queues are too long. This is a separate policy from her own health insurance.

By coincidence today, I was speaking to someone else who is paying €200 for his daughter as part of an Aviva plan. He used a broker who told him that €200 was enough.
