Haven Mortgage Application - Broker asking €500 as a fee

Hi,

I contacted multiple official brokers from Haven website: https://www.havenmortgages.ie/broker/find-a-broker as I wanted to start a mortgage process with Haven.

So far, only one response with this condition below:

"Apply for mortgage protection here now so that the €500 mortgage application fee is waived."

I thought there was no fee between the customer and Haven through an official broker and one could shop around for mortgage protection.

Has anyone experienced the same issue with Haven brokers?

Absolute Mortagges in Galway charge 500 euro, and they deal with Haven.



Different brokers have different fees.

When I got a mortgage from Avant, some brokers charged fees, and some didn't.
