hi, new here.
anyway, myself and partner (ex partner now) have split up, cant live together, havent been getting on last few months etc.
we have a joint mortgage, took it out 3 years ago, we are both 23, we have a 3 year old child.
now, i have moved into my mothers house with our child. i dont work, have been unemployed the past year.
am i entitled to one parent family payment?

and if so what will they say about my name being on the mortgage?
financially we are in no way fit to buy each other out if you know what i mean. so he has said he will continue to pay the mortgage for time being, and maybe we could get someone in to rent one of the bedrooms to help him out. and also he has agreed to pay me 40 eur a week for our child.
obviously i cant rely on my mam to keep feeding me and housing me for free.
so what im trying to say is, when i apply for one parent family payment are they endlessly going to question me about the mortgage?
any help greatly appreciated thanks!

If you satisfy the means test then you should be:

One Parent Family Payment

and if so what will they say about my name being on the mortgage?
The means test rules should be outlined on the SW website:

www.welfare.ie

If they do then it won't be endlessly! If they do ask you then just answer the questions honestly and factually.
