have been out of ireland for 16 months

Hi , does anyone know where i stand. I left ireland in november 07. Returned to Ireland in August 08 couldnt get work went on dole for 3 weeks and then signed off and came back to oz to work. I am now goin back in May 09 and fear i wont get a job. Will i be able to claim the dole havin been away. Or even get ion to a fas course . I was workin for 1 year full time before i left ireland in nov 07 and the year before that had done a fas course for 6 months.

Amyone that can help would be really appreciated.

Presumably, youa re worried about the Habitual Residency conditions? If you are less that two years outside the country then this should not be a problem.
 
Hi Thanks heaps for the answers. I am not sure bout residency thing. To be honest I dont know much about the system. I just heard from a friend that if you were outta the country for a certain period of tine that you couldnt claim the dole when you got back. Is this right???? appreciate your help

Hew as probably referring to the HRC that you must have a 'centre of interest' here if you have lived abroad for over 2 years. Sounds like it doesn't affect you.
