HAP CONTRIBUTION

Hey
Does anyone know how weekly HAP contributions are calculated?
I was on OFP(€237)and used to pay €31 for myslef and my son. Now I’m getting OFP(€237) and half rate carers allowance(€109) and my HAP contribution has gone up to €56 a week, am I wrong to feel like this is abit much? And I’m not working

Your local authority sets the criteria for calculating your HAP contribution (similar to their differential rents). You should contact them for advice.
