Handmade wooden bed

I'd like to have a wooden bed frame handmade. Can anyone point me in the right direction. Any advice as to types of wood? And on sculpting of the headboard and footboard.

check out www.furniture.ie for a list of cabinet makers in your locality.. contact them and explain what you want.

Just follow the usual good advice.. i.e try to find out in as much detail as possible how the bed will be made and paid for.. and stuff like materials to be used, does it come with a mattress?, is VAT included?, delivery to your home?, assembley? how long will it take?, how will it be finished? etc etc.

Most places would most prefer to see pictures of what you wanted.. so go onto Google Image Search and look for pictures...
