Hair Dresser Flat Rate Expenses

Hi All,

A friend of mine is a hair dresser, I have been claiming flat rate expenses for my profession but he does not know under what heading to claim flat rate expenses under. He buys all of his own tools and equipment, he is also a PAYE worker.

Anybody know if he should get flat rate expenses and under what heading, I can't find one that seems to fit.

Hello .. I’ve found the list provided by Revenue. I can’t seem to find one that fits.

In saying that, as far as I know, the legislation provided a deduction if the expense ( non flat rate) is incurred ,

Wholly &
Exclusively &
Necessarily

In relation to the employment - that’s a hard test to pass..
