What are the forums opinions on the advantages/disadvantages of having separate room underfloor heating zones in a 2 storey house, as opposed to having only 2 zones (a downstairs and an upstairs).
The way it has been explained to me is that by having only 2 zones you can take advantage of night rate electricity to heat the system to a comfortable whole house temperature. If you have multi room zones then the heat pump will be switching on and off at all times of the day and night to maintain the individual temperatures set for each room.
Is this true or just a myth?
