Growing Herbs and Veg In an Allotment

Hi
i am in the middle of renting an allotment to grow veg and herbs, that i may in the future sell at farmers markets or sell to restaurants i was wondering if any one would know if there would be a market for such products or is it a overcrowed area at the moment.?

I'd say there will always be a demand.

I'm guessing that your problem in markets is more likely to be availability of pitches. For supply to restaurants, you are likely to be competing with suppliers who have much more choice than you - extensive range of all sorts of herbs, spices, fruit, veg. Businesses will naturally want to rationalise on their suppliers.

What about roadside selling like you see with strawberries/potatoes etc?
