Graphics tablet specs - can anyone explain?

Teenager looking for graphics tablet for xmas. Loads on the market and have no idea how to choose as the price varies from under €50 to €1000's.

They mention lpi, pen pressure and macro keys ~ I have no idea what constitutes good or bad in these terms. Can anyone give me some pointers?? (no pun intended!)

There is one in the Lidl brochure this week, which appears very reasonable but don't want to buy it in case it's wrong.

I got a Lidl one .... it never worked properly. It sits on a shelf gathering dust now.

If your teenager is into graphics and drawing then he/she will be looking for a more precise one.

Why not ask them what make/model they want? They'll be using it. Let them trawl the IT fora for advice.
