Hi all,

I need some help and advice. I just completed my Masters. I cant find any job. I have small child age 3. I share the house with my ex. We have high mortgage interest repayments of 1000 euro p.m. He supports us. He earns approx 450 a week. We are getting on ok but I have no money for myself. I mean nothing. Am I eligible for any social welfare? We also pay 70 euro a week towards Montessori for 3 days a week for my son.

This is a complicated one? how long do u intend living in the house?
i would have said, loan parents and get your name on a housing list, or apply for rent allowance and get out of the situation, being so dependent on himself! But id doesnt state do ye own the house together, will ye be selling etc?

jobseekers benefit and try for mortgage relief from social welfare, as a family ye could try Family Income supplement? thats probably best option,
Best advice would be to visit your local CWO or citizens advice centre and give them all your details and they will help you out!

Thats what I do. On Monday I will visit local Citizenship Information Office. The problem is that I cannot get any job. If I would get something I could move out. We have bought the house together few years ago. We are not married. I cant see any solution to my current situation at the moment. The worst is that I am unemployed. I always was very independent and now I am completely lost. Hope things will get better soon.
