This might be a silly question but hope someone can help. I have just got a free tv from someone at work as they were getting a flat screen. It is a 22 inch black Grundig TV but cant get it to work. Dont have booklet to tune in the stations and dont know what I'm doing wrong.
I plugged in the pipe to the back of the TV and connected the Scart cable from TV to my DVD recorder but the only station tuning in is UTV. So if I can get one station why cant I get the rest? he told me that I dont need to tune the stations in if I have cable.
I'm not with NTL, I am with Sky Conway. When I moved into apartment there was no cable and when I was set up Sky Conway came and tuned in the stations, do I have to get them back again to tune in this TV? I looked for buttons on the front of the TV but nothing to tune in stations and nothing on remote control. Sorry for going on
To be honest I never heard of them either until I moved into apartment. Same as NTL aparently. Had to go with them as the they got the contract for the whole apartment block
Is there a cable box or did the cable always go directly into the TV. If there is a box all the channels will appear on the same channel on the TV and the channel changing is in the cable box. If not there should be a button marked menu on the remote and an option in the menu lists to tune the tv .if it says automatic then use that otherwise there should be a manual tuning option and you have to select each channel and tune it separately.
