I have been in touch with a Tax advisor since October but their schedule and a lot different things, mostly at their end, have meant that we have not got to the bottom of sorting my tax affairs.
I think I need to contact someone else who can help immediately.
I'm not sure how appropriate the question is on the forum, but can anyone recommend a good advisor in Dublin for personal tax advice on an investment property?
Have you talked to TAB (the Taxation Advice Bureau - see http://www.tab.ie/)? To quote their web site:
The TAB group is made up of TAB Taxation Services Ltd, which offers tax advice to individuals and also publishes the annual best seller the TAB Guide to Money, Pensions and Tax.
The Institute of Taxation publish a list of their members in each area.
Bear in mind that the complexity of your situation will have a bearing on the time taken to "sort out" your tax affair. A few months does seem rather long though.
