hi,

I left my old job in mid march08. Twice during the month of April, I asked that my picture be removed from the website as I no longer work there. Twice I was told that they would be doing work on the site and would do it then. My picture was still on the website today.

I didnt leave the company on bad terms but I dont particularly want to be associated with the company anymore. Am I being unreasonable? company is a small private company if that makes any difference.

Doesn't sound unreasonable to me. If you cannot get them to comply with your request then perhaps there is a data protection issue here that the DPC might be able to assist with? For example:

Legually, this would be covered by the Data Protection Acts. You need to write to the companie’s Data Controller telling them that their data is out of date and should be corrected/deleted under the terms of the act. If that fails then you can complain to the data protection commissioner.

The result will be sour grapes. Much better to ring them up and remind them again.
