Getting mortgage for overseas property

Hi,
Are there any banks/financial companies around that give mortgages for overseas properties without requiring someone to borrow against one's property in Ireland ?

Yes, there is, but it depends on the location of the subject property you intend to buy. You will find non-recourse mortgages in the UK, France, Poland, Spain, the USA etc but less likely in further away locations. So where is the property you intend to buy?

The property is in Bulgaria. Is it possible to get a local mortgage there then if its not possible to get one here ?

You won't get an Irish bank to give you a non-recourse mortgage on a property in Bulgaria.

As for mortgages from a Bulgarian bank, you need a Bulgarian property expert, which I'm not ...
