Ok a bit of history for my question.. Im wit my boyfriend 8 yrs n hav a 6yr old child together..My bfriends business went bust last yr leaving him with debts of about 30,000 euro and credit rating is gone for 5years or more.. His father has land valued at about 50,000 euro and wants to give it to us to build a house.. As i am not family we will get caught for CGT ect if its gifted to me..
Does anyone know can i get a mortgage on this land on my own even though im not famiy and its not in my name?? As my boyfriend can not come on the mortgage wit me as he will de value the amount i will be allowed get considerable ...
Or can the land be gifted to his grandson(my son), and i maybe eligible to get a mortgage this way????
