Ok, just about to buy my first property. I got mortgage approvals in principle from AIB, BoI and KBC.
KBC has the best terms, but Im thinking that an optimal course of action seems to be to first get a BoI mortgage and the 2% cashback, and then some months later switch to KBC. Is this doable, or am I missing some catch?
Martin in your situation you should get full mortgage offers from BOI, EBS, and PTSB for their 2% cash back offers, also get full offers from KBC, and AIB and finally UB who have the best rates at the minute but only €1500 cash back offer. How much is the mortgage for ?
Thanks! BoI is saying that Ill only get the 2% if I drawdown the mortgage this year. I wonder though, if next year there will be a new 2% offer. Not sure how long the purchase process will take. I tried to get an offer from UB, but I filed the application in July and they still havent gotten back to me.
