I am just about to buy some taps/showers for a new bathroom on the web from a German site. I'm not sure which one yet, am sending off a few emails now to see what prices they come back with for the stuff I want. I have two questions that people might be able to assist with:

1) I have read up on lots of good experiences on here with people doing this, but are there some things I should watch out for, i.e. problems that people have run into doing this? I have all the original manufacturer codes etc and I'm only intending using sites that have been used successfully by people on here.

2) Is German electricity the same voltage as Irish. I need to buy a 2 bar (or thereabouts) pump, should I just get it here or is it ok to buy there? I know if it breaks etc it would be handier to have bought it here, but I want to know if it will work.

Many thanks to anyone that can help.

Thanks,
David

David_Dublin,

I've used http://www.reuter-bathrooms.com (www.reuter-bathrooms.com) to purchase all of my bathroom fittings, taps etc. Ordered online, spoke with sales agent, have received the goods exactly like I ordered without any issues.

No affiliation, just a happy customer.

Make sure that your system is a pressurised one as the taps would not work great on a gravity only system. Some of the taps in my house are for a pressurised system and the flow out of them is slow.

as said make sure you have a pressurised system otherwise they will be no good price a pump here and then you will know if its a good deal or not

Thanks for the replies, am going to go for a 3bar pump, should be ok for a shower/bath/tap, that's all that will be coming off it.
