Can anyone reccomend a gardner / landscaper that would be able to convert my mess of a back garden into a nice space before the summer months arrive?

I'll send you a PM with a phone number of a friend, based in Leixlip but who can travel to D7. She started a garden landscaping/maintenance business last year.

Got ours done last year by Dominic Loughran http://www.dreamgardens.ie and would recommend him. He is based in Lucan but did the job for us also in D7. I would advise getting quotes from a few different gardeners to compare prices and quality of work.

I can recommend James, only know him because we just got a large amount of work done.. very happy with the job, quick and easy really.. main job was several trees to be topped... one cut by 15 / 20 feet or so which was a lot of waste.. also lots of other work like lawns cut, several other bushes, trees, flower beds etc..

Great price in my opinion. and a knowledgable man when it comes to plants, what they like and don't like, what they're called, when they can be pruned etc etc, .. he comes from a family of gardeners, brother, father etc.. so that's good.

PM me if you want more info.

No connection, just happy with the work, and my sister was very happy too... and she's a woman and so very hard to please, he he.

Any further recommendations for landscapers who cover Dublin 7? I have a "town garden" of 40 x 20 feet, presently covered by a raggy lawn, concete path and the concrete base of a shed (I have just demolished the shed).

I'm looking to landscape (maybe lawn/gravel combination) in a low maintenance way. I also want someone who knows about plants because top priority is to put in planters on the boundary to give me some privacy in the medium term (or even some suitable small trees in planters to give me privacy ASAP).

Suggestions welcome. Like everyone these days Im on a tight budget - the essential thing is a tidied up space with some privacy. I intend to get 3 or 4 quotes. I looked around last summer but the guys who came were still qouting for the Celtic Tiger years (!) or didnt bother even ringing me back..

thanks
