Hi,
I am coming to the end of my self build but have not applied for the cert of compliance as I haven't done fense, taring, piers and kerbing. I have built a small garage which was not on plans and assumed it was fine as I did not go over the 25 sq m floor area limit but I think there may be a height restriction too. The garage is about 5m high.
I have no plans on selling the house so would it be best to wait until planning is not required as I think if it is present for longer than 5 years planning is not required or should I apply for retention now?
