Garage Conversion & Dry Lining

Hi All

Just want a bit of advice on above.

(a) With regards to dry lining - has anyone had this done? Is it worth it? Approx what is the cost?

(b)Garage conversions - south Dublin - does anyone have a recommendation for a builder? Again, costs - opinion seems quite divided on the forum. Do you need planning permission if you were to put a glass window where the part of the roof used to be?
