Gaming MSc TCD

Hi clubman,

Sorry, I should have inserted a link to the one I was looking at [broken link removed] ... it seems to be an entirely new course, so just wondering if anyone has any further information / views on it.

Certainly seems to be backed by the big Irish names in the industry. Looks very interesting.

There was a piece done about it on the RTE nine o clock news tonight.
I guess its attracted a lot of attention. Whether it's hype because journalists frequently like to show off unusual things like a degree where students might play X Boxes for most of the day (as they might spin it for their own amusement) or actually means anything I dont know. But I'd guess mostly the latter. They did say that most of the jobs for it might be outside the country though (which also could be speculation). So best thing is go talk to one of the department heads.

If youre going to apply, the cut off date for applications is pretty soon and some time later this month.
