further Forestry payments

I was looking at a bit of land which has a large part of 12 year old forestry, 20 acres lodgepole pine and 11.6 acres Sycamore. It is generating €4300 pa.

Can one also claim reps, das etc on this type of land.

It also has 7 acres of gressland.

You are stuck with the forestry at the current premium (have you allowed for the recent 8% premium reduction?). It cannot be entered into REPS. If you were establishing a new plantation, then you may have been able to enter the forest into the forest equivalent of REPS called FEPS. This would provide a €200 top-up per hectare.

7 acres of grassland should be eligible for REPS.

The asking price is €180K. Its hardly worth the hassle. I only want 3-4 acres anyway. Thanks for your input Alpine.
