Moving our 3 year old boy into a different bedroom and have been searching in the stores & also online for furniture that may work. Looking for something modern, but practical, possibly with blue doors. The only thing I've found is in argos (malibu collection). Does anyone know of any other sites/stores that may have wardrobes that have blue doors? Or has anyone purchased from the malibu collection. Any feedback would be great. We live in the west of Ireland, but travel to Dublin a lot. Thought this would be a snip to be honest !!!!

I don't work for them (honest), but Ikea have some lovely stuff for kids rooms. The stuff is resonably priced, yet good quality (though, I'd advise you give their cheaper range a miss). Have a look on their website or pay a vist the next time you're in Dublin

Great - thanks for the feedback. Will definitely check out Ikea when I'm in Dublin in the next couple of weeks and try and get some inspiration : ) and will look at their website in the meantime. If anyone has bought from the argos range as well, can they let me know what they thought of it regarding colour of doors, sturdiness etc. Thanks !

In my experience, Argos furniture is cheap but pretty rubbish. Poorly put together and not very robust (especially for children who like to test these things).

Ikea stuff, by contrast, is very sturdy. If looking for low-cost furniture, I wouldn't go anywhere else in future.

I don't have children but I was in ikea over the weekend and they have fabulous stuff for children's bedrooms! Very cute!

i have a friend looking at littlewoods ireland on line for her boys room and they look great too, but ido not know about the quality, my friend said she blogged it on an english site and the furniture got good reviews but do some investigation as i havent seen the furniture in real life

Have a look anyway

Great, thanks for the feedback. I've started to check out those sites and there's some really nice stuff. I also happened across the Next site and there's a nice midsleeper bed and a tent to go around, that can be purchased on it's own which is great, as most are only included as part of the bed purchase. I think a friend of mine can actually get a discount from Littlewoods but not sure if that's just for clothes, but I'll check.

Will also be sourcing nursery items (but not furniture thankfully) for a little girl, due January : )

If anyone can think of any other stores/on-line sites to check out, please pass on. Thanks !
