I'm trying to get my employer to ok my doing an Irish Times Training/University of Ulster Advanced Diploma. It's been sort of approved but they've requested I look into what sort of rebates/grants/funding might be available to take the sting out of their costs (it's about E5,500-E6,000). While the brochure says that Irish Times Training are a Fas approved training organisation for the purposes of competencies in training I have an email from them saying they are unsure of this year's funding and I should make enquiries myself.
Can anyone advise on who and where I should focus my enquiries with Fas? Ther website is very vague and I'm afraid of getting lost/bad info etc if I direct my query in the wrong direction.
Can anyone suggest other sources of funding/grants?
BTW: I work for a small irish business with under 50 employees.
