Front door, inside handle broken

In hindsight i did notice that it felt a bit loose recently, didnt think much of it until tonight when the missus was locking it it broke, now turns 360 degree(several revolution, no end either direction). It's 5 yrs old or so, you have to lift the handle to lock it. Anyway i nipped out the back and managed to lock it from the front so we'll get by for the mo but obviously i need it fixed asap.

Any idea's, is it possible to sort it DIY(two screws on the panel but it wouldnt come off), do i need a locksmith?

Spoke to Mr ACA...(who's in the know!) and he feels that its just your handle that is the problem, especially if only the interior handle is going round. Why not give your door supplier a buzz in the morning and see can you pick up a replacement handle.
