It has the potential to swamp the threads with rubbish

Don't forget to shrink the size of the attachement folks.
Nothing worse than trying to open a 2mb file to see a scrap of information.
You might want to put a limit on the size of the file you can attach Brendan?

It is experimental.

It is restricted to Frequent Posters. If it becomes a headache for moderators, we will disable it again.

What would be an appropriate limit? There was a default limit, but I had to increase it for this attachment which appeared to me to be a simple one page Word file
 
Word/Excel files are relatively small.
Photo/video files are the killer.
I think 100k is plenty for a photo. It's easy to shrink them if they are above this.
The bulk of this forum is text based.
Photos have a use in things like 'I have a damp spot on the wall' kind of threads.
They don't need to be high resolution.
 
I can't post any links until I reach 15 posts. That's annoying. I'm keeping some fun map to post on my desktop :p
