Freezing conditions and electric shower not working?

Hi all,

Hope some1 in the know can enlighten me on 2 issues I have since this cold snap arrived.

Couple days ago in 1 of our electric showers up stairs,the water stopped coming out of them,a few drops then nothing...the other electric shower upstairs is workin away fine and its only a few meteres away in the main bathroom..is this just a frozen pipe somewhere ? is there anything i should do?or just let it fix itself once weather warms up?


Secondly our built in dish washer seems to be losing water from underneath the bottom of the door somewhere..is this somehow related to the weather or something,only started happening again a few days ago?

Did your mains water freeze by any chance? Maybe one of your showers is connected to the mains, and the other isn't.

I discovered that my electric shower upstairs is connected to the mains (I hope it's supposed to!), so hasn't worked during the times the water's been off.

When the water came back in my house, the seal on my water softener/filter had loosened so it started to leak. Once I tightened it again it was fine. You might have a similar problem with the dishwasher - something that just needs tightening?

No water is fine everywhere else in the house,just the 1 electric shower,its very strange...

Yes hopefully just something needs to be tightened with the diskwasher!!
