IBAT College Swords is hosting a free Careers, Enterprise and Training Advice Clinic on Wednesday 22nd April from 1pm-6pm.

Joan Burton, Labour TD will give an opening address at 1pm, followed by a series of seminars and workshops aimed at preparing individuals for re-employment, self-employment or returning to education.

Leading career coach, Gillian Driver will give invaluable advice on turning redundancy into opportunity, current and future job trends, self-marketing techniques, and skills assessment.

Mary McKenna from Fas will give a seminar on the back-to-training supports available for job-seekers. For budding entrepreneurs, Oisin Geoghegan, CEO of Fingal Enterprise Board discusses the support services available for new business start-ups, and Roseanne Smith from the Irish Internet Association offers a guide to starting an online business. Bank of Ireland will be available to discuss funding and start-up opportunities. One-to-One advice will also be available at stands from Harmonics, Fas, Bank of Ireland, Fingal Enterprise Board and the Irish Internet Association.

This information day will provide essential, practical advice for those facing redundancy or who are thinking of starting their own business.Key Issues such as funding and available financial supports, current and future skills shortages, online business opportunities, and the best ways to market yourself in the new economic environment will be covered during the event.
