Just wondering could someone please advise me on filling out section 6 of form 12 for 2013
Myself and my wife are public servants with her being on maternity leave from april - oct 2013. maternity benefit was paid directly from social protection to her employer. Up to July 2013 she wasnt paying PAYE on the maternity benefit portion of her wages ,after July She started paying paye on the maternity benefit portion.
I also was paid a small amount of illness benefit which again was paid directly to my employer upon which I paid PAYE etc on.
Why are revenue asking for my wifes maternity benefit /illness benefits if we have already paid our full taxes on them ?
just wondering should I just leave the section blank ,is this section just for people who have received payments directly from the dept of social welfare ?
any help would be greatly appreciated.
