Myself and my husband are jointly assessed. I am self employed as a childminder. I earn under the threshold to have to pay tax. But want to pay my prsi contribution of €500. On the form 11 do I just input this manually into the self assessment section where it says Prsi?
Also that section has Prsi as €0 For my husband, why would this be? All the other figures such as tax etc are correct as per his P60

For yourself, "I earn under the threshold to have to pay tax" is irrelevant. If you input your self employed earnings it should calculate €500 prsi due.

Sorry but I dont understand what you are saying about your husband. Is he employed, self employed or both.

You put your income in the Childcare part of the Exempt Income section and the PRSI will be calculated correctly.

Assuming your husband is a PAYE employee, his PRSI has already been accounted for through payroll and won't appear on the assessment.
