Form 11 - AVC and income levy

I took advantage of the deadline for AVC payments for 2009 by Oct 31st 2010.

Am I right in thinking that although the AVC is not subject to PAYE (Relief under Allowable Deductions Incurred), it is still subject to the Income Levy?

income tax/paye is charged on your income after the AVC.

However, the AVC is not an allowable deduction for the Income Levy so you will be charged Income Levy on your income before the AVC deduction.
