Forex charges to trade using a UK broker ?

Hi Folks,
I am looking at setting up an a/c with a UK broker (Hoodless Brennan seem to be good..) but I am wondering how it works with Forex charges. Let's say, for eg., I want to buy a euro ETF, when I wire money, is it switched to GBP when it hits the a/c so I would incur a forex charge ?
