Hi Folks,

Just a query on the returning of foreign income in 2010.

The example is that of a man that worked in UK in 2010 for a few months. He was resident in Ireland for the year 2010.

How is that income (from UK P60) returned on the form 11? Tax was deducted.

There is other income as well i.e. jobseekers benefit and a small sole trade. There will be a very small liability if any but I want to be sure regarding the correct returning of the foreign income

Would appreciate any info

Thanks

Foreign Income page, foreign employments, .... on which Trans Border relief is Not claimed. Enter the tax paid too, both in euro. He will get Double Taxation Relief.

Thanks Gervan. How is the fx rate from Stg to € calculated do you know?

Revenue advice states :
Where a record of the amount received on conversion of each payment has been kept, the aggregate of these amounts should be taken.
If such a record is not available the payments may, unless made up of irregular amounts paid at infrequent intervals, be converted at the average rate of exchange for the period.
Tax, where deducted, should be converted in the same manner as the related income.
