Is anyone interested in this?
I reported a situation (/fraud?) where recipients of rental supplement were not passing it onto their landlord (guess who that was - I had a vested interest in it!) i.e. they were pocketing it themselves, in addition to not passing on their share.
I appreciate that these things are confidential and it is only right that whistleblowers aren't notified of investigations etc and that things must take their course and blood-from-stones (fining recipients of social welfare) etc etc - - but I think it might make for some powerful reading if a journo were to request statistics for how fruitful most whistleblowing actually is.
I recall reading recently its increased by 1,600% !? Anyone fancy making such a request?
