some advise please. Have just finished a rockery in the garden and I want to use coloured gravel. the bed is on a slight slope and I have also put down a membrane. Because of this membrane the stones keep slipping down the slope and will not stay in place. Is there anything I can get to keep the stones in place? ta
How about using some chicken wire. Holds the gravel in place. Just roll it over the slope hold it in place with some stronger wire bent over on itself and put your gravel over that. Remember the closer chicken wire the better.
hi i found just layer the gravel thicker at the bottom/base and it will eventually reach the top. If your using large rocks i found to use them to build almost a fake step type layer will also hold the gravel, this method is def cheaper as gravel is expensive. Plus put in some gravel spreading plants/alpines which spreads like mad and are a great support.
